Narayan Wagle is a towering presence and persistent voice in Nepali journalism and literature. His first novel, Palpasa Café, received the preeminent prize in Nepali literature, the Madan Puraskar. He is also the writer of the novel Mayur Times. Coffee Guff, his long-running newspaper column that reflected upon travel, love, cafes, nostalgia, politics and society, endeared him to entire generations of readers in Nepal. 
Koreana is his first book-length work of non-fiction, an excavation of the social and solitary aspects of the writerly life. Spanning Wagle's time at an international creative writing workshop in South Korea, this book provides insights into the mind of the writer who sits down to practice the craft while also wondering-with pathos, with humour, with urgency-about our many worlds.
